Support and Communication

When you use the contact form we receive your message and e-mail address. We use this data solely to respond to your inquiry and delete it once the matter is resolved.

Language Preference (Local Storage)

When you dismiss the language suggestion banner, a flag (lang-banner-dismissed) is stored in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device, is not a cookie, and is used only to avoid showing the banner again on the same device. No consent is required for this technically necessary storage.

Mac App Store (Apple Inc.)

This website contains links to product pages in Apple's Mac App Store. Clicking one takes you to Apple's website; Apple may collect data in accordance with their own privacy policy. We do not use tracking links, affiliate pixels, or any analytics tied to these links.

PaperCinch: Local Document Processing

Under normal operation, PaperCinch processes documents exclusively locally on your Mac. This may include document contents, filenames, recognized OCR text, suggested categories, dates, and filing suggestions.

Under normal operation, this data is not transferred to our servers for processing or analysis. We therefore generally have no access to the documents you process or the content derived from them.

Integrated Support Function

If you use PaperCinch's integrated support function, you can choose which diagnostic data to provide with your support request. The selected data is first compiled locally on your Mac in a ZIP archive and attached to an e-mail draft in your e-mail application.

Before sending the e-mail, you can open the ZIP archive, extract it, and inspect its contents. The diagnostic data is transmitted to us only when you send the e-mail yourself.

We process the diagnostic data you send us, the content of your message, and any files you add solely to handle your support request and analyze the reported problem.
